A parchment is nailed to the public board, titled with "PUBLIC PROPOSAL FOR MORTICIAN" in sharp and curved lettering. The note reads:
To the citizens of New Haven,
This formal proposal is to establish a possible Mortician for the town in response to the recent events and with the Thinning of the Veil.
With the establishment of this position, this person will undertake efforts to account for the deceased and properly carry out their burial rites. Due to the nature of this duty, this will be a joint extension between a Surgeon and the Temple proper. This will ensure the care for the deceased on a physical and spiritual aspect, allowing their souls to rest secure knowing their bodies are safe and undisturbed by necromancy or looters.
Once again, this is a proposal and is open to recommendations and insight from everyone in Town. The Temple Pillars have expressed their combined and individual approval of the necessity of this position as well as the representative to carry it forward. As of now, formal procedures are being drafted and are available for reading to the public, though is likely to be edited as more insight is provided. If you are interested in providing feedback and comments, or even wish to assist in the effort, please contact me, Nelliel Mistsong. I am often found in the Temple or in High Town Tavern and will be looking forward to this community working together.
Signed,
Nelliel Mistsong
Below this message is an extension of parchment for writing if needed.
